On February 13, Sherrill Milnes’s 80th birthday and the 50th anniversary of his Metropolitan Opera debut will be celebrated at “A Winter’s Opera Night.”
An event whose proceeds will benefit the Sherrill Milnes VOICE Programs, the evening will feature a dinner and concert with performers Jamie Barton, Jennifer Johnson Cano, Christopher Cano, Mark Delavan, Amy Shoremount-Obra, and the emerging artists of VOICExperience.
President and CEO of Opera America Marc A. Scorca will serve as master of ceremonies for the benefit, which takes place at New York’s Harmonie Club and is also set to include special guests Martina Arroyo, Judy Kaye, James Morris, Renata Scotto, Tony Roberts, Barry Tucker, and Fritz Weaver; as well as video greetings from Andrea Bocelli and Plácido Domingo.
