The Venetian Arts Society celebrates opera legend Sherrill Milnes with two special events on January 16th and 17th: a Sherrill Milnes Tribute and A Conversation with Sherrill Milnes. On January 16th at 6pm, the famed baritone shares the greatest moments of his career with Master of Ceremonies Jason Hughes, Former General Manager Classical South Florida 89.7 FM, performers make tribute to his legacy in a salon concert at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Tickets are $35.00 for Venetian Arts Society members and $50 general admission.
The celebration continues on January 17th at 11am in the Village Tower Lobby at John Knox Village in Pompano Beach. Susan Danis, General Director/CEO of Florida Grand Opera, hosts this conversation with Sherrill Milnes as he shares backstage stories of his international career. Tickets for this event are $10 for Venetian Arts Society members and $15 general admission.
