At Opera Tampa’s 20th Anniversary Gala, held this past weekend, Sherrill Milnes was honored with the 2015 Anton Coppola Excellence in the Arts Award. Given annually to an individual in recognition of his or her contributions to both Opera Tampa and the music community at large, the award has previously been bestowed upon Plácido Domingo, Thomas Hampson, Martina Arroyo, Renata Scotto, Anton Coppola, and Carlisle Floyd.
